Program Design and Evaluation: 2003 – 2004 Internal evaluator of our BA courses in Arabic Studies. My self- evaluation report was submitted to the Swedish Council for Higher Education in their process of evaluating Arabic Studies at Swedish universities. 2004 – 2005 I was entrusted by the Dean of the Faculties of Humanities and Theology to restructure our BA courses in Arabic and ME studies. Thus, the program in Arabic Studies (PAS) was launched in 2005. It offers a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and/or ME studies. 2021 Reviewer of PhD dissertation “The Interaction of Traditional Religious Therapy and Western Psychotherapy in Islam: A Comparative-anthropological Study” by Dovile Valaite.

Expert Activities

2005 – 2015 During the last two decades I have been instrumental in creating links and initiating programs for education and research funded by Lund University, the Swedish Council for HE and the European Commission such as TEMPUS, External Cooperation Window, Erasmus-Mundus and Erasmus+.

2015 – 2022 Member of the expert committee for assessment and accreditation of bachelor’s and master’s degree in Arabic Language and iterature at the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT).
