Mizraḥi grassroot social movements fall into silence when the Israel-Palestine conflict dominates the international media headlines. The lecture connects intra-Jewish racial and gendered dynamics to the 2014 Gaza War.

Reem Alkharouf, Sociologijos departamento vadove doc. dr. Ayat Nashwan, Tarptautinių ryšių skyriaus vadove Aryaf Al-rousan ir kitais universiteto dėstytojais.

Pundžabo valstijoje esančiame Lovely Professional University (LPU) ji susitiko su šio universiteto tarptautinių ryšių skyriaus vadove Supriya Mathew, įvairių disciplinų mokslininkais bei VU Pietų Azijos studijų studentais Linu Tavaru ir Joana Bertašiūte, kurie šiuos metus Indijoje dalyvauja „Erasmus+“ mainų programoje ir atlieka profesinę praktiką. Vizito metu buvo aptartos bendradarbiavimo galimybės Pietų Azijos studijų srityje. K. Garalytė skaitė viešą paskaitą universiteto mokslininkams bei studentams apie Azijos ir Pietų Azijos studijas Lietuvoje.
During this public lecture, Aizada Arystanbek will discuss the Russian Invasion of Ukraine from a Critical Feminist perspective by exploring the issues of Russian imperialism, connecting media bias of the war coverage with Eurocentric notions of modernity and civilization, and situating the conflict within a broader regional perspective that centers experiences of Central Asia.
